Activated carbon to filter your tap water

This Article is for anyone who hasn't tried this trick yet 🌱

Is it possible to drink better water than what you were buying in the store? Yes.
To purify your water, use charcoal. It absorbs bad odors and eliminates the chlorinated taste that water can have at times.

What is activated carbon used for?

Activated carbon has been used for years in many countries. It comes from oak trees in Indonesia. It is a natural filter that eliminates all the impurities and toxins that water contains. All these impurities are filtered and trapped in the charcoal stick which will release several healthy minerals such as iron, calcium or magnesium.

Where to find your charcoal?
You can find this charcoal in many stores that sell organic products or on the internet (usually sites offering eco-responsible, fair trade items).

METHOD:

1 - Rinse your charcoal for a few seconds (for a first use)

2 - Put it gently at the bottom of a carafe or a bottle

3 - Fill your carafe with water

4 - Leave the charcoal for 2h to 8h for a better water purification

5 - Once your carafe is empty, add tap water again

NOTES:

A large stick of charcoal can be used for approximately 9 months.

Clean and reactivate your charcoal every month. Boil it for about 10 minutes in water.
